Rurouni Kenshin Film Rated PG-13 Without Cuts in the Philippines

Movie Punch through their official Facebook page has posted that upcoming Japanese film, Rurouni Kenshin live-action movie is rated PG with no cuts.

SM Cinema on their website also detailed the film as PG-13. The Parental Guidance-13 rating means that children below 13 years of age will only be allowed inside the movie hall if accompanied by an adult.

Film is set to premiere on December 5 exclusively in all SM Cinemas nationwide. For screening schedules and advance reservation, you can visit their website

There is also an advance screening for the film set on December 2 at SM North EDSA after Swordplay: A Rurouni Kenshin Cosplay Competition event.

Former legendary assassin Kenshin Himura (Takeru Sato) has now become a wandering samurai. Offerring aid & protecting those in need as atonement for his past deeds. During this time Kenshin Himura comes across and aides Kaoru Kamiya (Emi Takei). Her father opened the Kamiya Kasshin-ryu, a kendo school located in Tokyo and Kaoru is now an instructor there. Kaoru then invites Kenshin to stay at her dojo. Their relationship develops further, but Kenshin is still haunted by his violent past.

  1. I’ve just watched Rurouni Kenshin last night, and it blew me away! The audience had to clap when the movie ended. It was that good! I heard that they were already making a sequel. Fantastic!

    1. your watching where??? haha coz i had the same experience!!:P i totally agree that it was good but haven”t showed a lot on the OVA story… story will have a sequel?:)
