Photoset: HERO Face Off 2013 – Two Worlds Collide

The world of cosplay, toys and comics definitely collided last June 16, 20133 as HEROtv’s cosplay event HERO Face off 2013 was held during the 12th Philippines Toycon 2013 at SM Megatrade Hall.

We arrived at the venue at around 1PM with anime movie Gundam Unicorn Volume 1 being screened. Tokusatsu movie Kiba screened earlier in the day.

It was then followed with a “not-so-perfect” performance of all-girl band Rouge who played two popular anime songs (one from Gintama) and the official theme song of HEROtv. The band is led by Filipina cosplayer Ayumi Kassinique together with Jeri, Kara and Celina.

The HERO Faceoff 2013 was hosted by PBB Teen Big Winner and HEROtv anime jock Myrtle Sarossa and Protege’s Mikoy Morales.

The event started with the Kid Squad Category with more than 10 kid participants made a ramp onstage.

It was immediately followed by the skit performance of 3 cosplay groups for the League of Heroes category. We felt bad that only few cosplay group participated for this category.
