The official website for the tokusatsu franchise has announced that Keita Amemiya’s adult drama series Garo is getting an anime adaptation.
There are no information yet on the said anime project except that it will have a new and original story with scripts coming from Yasuko Kobayashi (Shingeki no Kyojin, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure). Kobayashi will also be handling the series composition.
Garo started as a 25-episode series airing on TV Tokyo from October 7, 2005 to March 31, 2006. It was then followed by several television series, specials and movies.
For next year, it was announced that the franchise will have a new TV drama series titled GARO: Makai no Hana, a mini-series Zero: Black Blood and a movie featuring Ryuga.
Garo focuses on the life of Kouga Saezima, who has assumed the title of Makai Knight to protect humanity against dark demonic manifestations called “Horrors.“
