Anime cable channel HEROtv opens the new year with its brand new titles for the month of January.
In the press release posted, “Uchoten Kazoku” (The Eccentric Family,) “Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East,” and “Karneval” will air next month to add a ‘new dynamic to the current anime family that we all know and love.’
Shimogamo Yasaburō is a tanuki who is the third son of the Shimagamo family, who lives in Kyoto, along with humans, tanuki, and tengu. One day, Yasaburō’s father is eaten as a hot pot by human members of a group known as the “Friday Club”. As Yasaburō takes care of his teacher, an old tengu, fights with other tanukis, and plays with a psychic human girl, Yasaburō approaches the truth about his father’s death. (ANN)
Uchoten Kazoku will air every Monday to Friday starting January 24 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
HAKKENDEN: Eight Dogs of the East

Hakkenden will air every Mondays to Fridays beginning January 8 from 11 PM to 12 AM.
