The official website for Japanese publisher Fujimi Shobo has announced that Shoji Gatoh’s romantic comedy light novel series Amagi Brilliant Park is getting an anime adaptation.
Kyoto Animation is also announced to be producing the adaptation.
‘KyoAni’ is same animation studio that produced the second season of ‘Full Metal Panic!’ (The Second Raid), OVA “A Relatively Leisurely Day in the Life of a Fleet Captain”, and its companion series ‘Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu’ which are adaptations of Gatoh’s light novel series of the same name.
Gatoh first released the Amagi Brilliant Park light novel last February with its third volume to be released on January 18.
The “slapstick drama” begins with Seiya Kanie, a high school boy who is invited on a date in an amusement park by a mysterious beautiful transfer student named Isuzu Sento. He is introduced to Ratifa, a “real” princess and the park’s manager, and is asked to be the acting manager of this “disappointing amusement park in the Tokyo suburbs.” (ANN)
