Manga creator Ryūhei Tamura has announced that his comedy shounen manga series Beelzebub will be ending in this year’s 13th issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine.
The magazine will be released on Monday, February 24, ending series’ almost 5 years run. The 27th and last compiled book volume will be published on June 2014. In a meantime, Tamura will be starting a spin-off series in Jump Next!! magazine in May 2014.
The series has inspired a 60-episode anime series started in 2011.
“Strongest juvenile delinquent” Oga Tatsumi, in the most random events, finds himself with the infant son of the Great Demon King and threat to humankind, Beelzebub. After being “greeted” by the baby’s maid and caretaker, Hilda, it become obvious that Beelzebub doesn’t want to leave Oga’s side. With his close friend Furuichi and a bunch of other characters on hand, Oga now must raise baby Beel and prevent the world from destruction.
