First Fil-Jap drama Halo Halo House premieres in PH

Nippon Television Network Corporation is set to broadcast first Filipino-Japanese drama series “Halo Halo House” starting January 16, 2016, every Saturday and Sunday at 5PM on Philippines’ government television network People’s Television Network, Inc.

The cast is lead by Filipino model Paul Alvin Magsalin portraying as Jose who can’t seem to forget a certain Japanese girl whom he met as a kid in Manila. With nothing but three leads on how to find her, he winds up in Japan. All he knows is that she’s from Aichi Prefecture and her name is Erika which is portray by Japanese actress Anna Yuzuki.

The third lead is a handkerchief that brought their destinies together. With barely any money in Japan and at a loss on what to do, Jose has a chance encounter with a Japanese man who introduces him to a share house in Ichinomiya, where he ends up living.

Also in the cast is  Filipino-Japanese actress, Philippine tourism ambassador, and former member of idol group AKB48 Sayaka Akimoto who will narrate the series.

The series aims to strengthen the relationship between the Japanese and the Filipinos as well as revitalize the local economy.

  1. I accidentally got to watch this show yesterday while flipping through channels and surprisingly liked it. The story is simple but refreshing. Haha
