“Kuroko No Basket” Movie gets advance screening on May 7

ODEX Private Limited has announced on Thursday that there will be special screening of the movie Kuroko No Basket (Kuroko’s Basketball) – The Last Game before the regular playdate on May 17th in the Philippines.

The special advance screening will happen on May 7th at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City. The movie is set for 2PM screening at Cinema 11 and movie tickets cost Php 1,500 each.

Those who will purchase tickets for the movie will receive movie premium items from Japan such as an A2 Poster, Kuroko No Basket The Movie A4 Clear Folder and 3 sets of Japan import Key Chains.

    A Silent Voice will be released NATIONWIDE starting May 10, 2017 (Wednesday)
  2. How long will the movie show in cinemas?
    It GREATLY depends on the performance of the movie in cinemas. If it does well in the Philippine box office, it may last for about a week or more, if it does poorly, it may be immediately removed by cinemas the following day
  3. Where can we see the list of cinemas showing the movie?
    There is still no list as of the moment but we will be posting one a day before the movie will be released – May 9 at 9PM.

  4. How can I increase the possibility of the movie to show in the cinemas I go to?

“91 Days” and “Nogizaka Haruka No Himitsu” to air on HERO TV this May

Local anime channel HERO TV recently released a promotional video announcing their anime line-up for the month of May.

The action anime series, 91 Days, will be aired on the channel starting May 25. Nogizaka Haruka No Himitsu, the light-novel-turned-anime romcom seriesis also set to air in the channel starting May 26.

As a special treat, Hero TV will also be screening Samurai X  – 2nd OVA on May 14 and 28 via HERO Theatrixx.

“DanMachi” airs on TV5 this May

TV5 recently released a promotional video revealing the upcoming airing of the anime series Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon or DanMachi this May.

The series premieres on May 11 at 5:45 PM.

Aniplus described the series as follows:

The story of a young aspiring adventurer, Bell Cranel and his tiny patron goddess, Hestia, as they work together to fulfil their dreams in the dungeon city Orario.

“Iida Riho Birthday Tour2016 in Korea” special airs on Aniplus Asia

Aniplus Asia has announced on Tuesday, April 25 that South East Asia anime channel will be airing the concert special of Iida Riho Birthday Tour that was held in Korea in 2016.

The special is scheduled to air on May 1st, Monday, 9:55 PM (PHT) with the encore airing on May 7th Sunday, 6:55 PM.

Iida Riho is a former child actress turned actress, voice actress and singer from Saitama Prefecture. She is popularly known as the voice actress behind Hoshizora Rin in Love Live! School Idol Project.

She has made a debut performance in Manila last year as one of the anisong artists who performed at Cosplay Mania 2016.

“Kancolle The Movie” PH Fan Screening details

Advanced ticket selling for the screening of the Kancolle the Movie is now open at the official website of SM Cinema.

Kancolle fans can purchase them online via smcinema.com for Php 355 each (processing fee for online transaction excluded). Tickets are also available on-site at the SM Megamall Cinema booth for the same price.

Those who bought tickets will receive movie exclusive premiums such as Kancolle The Movie A4 Clear Folder, 35mm film strip which features five frames from the movie and Movie logo Epoxy pin.

Kancolle The Movie is scheduled to be shown at Cinema 11 on Saturday, May 6, 2017 on two time slots: 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. 

It has received a rating of G (General Patronage) by the Philippine’s Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

Fan Screening of “Sword Art Online The Movie” in the Philippines postponed 

Odex Private Limited announced on Friday (April 21) that the fan screening for Sword Art Online The Movie in the Philippines will be postponed to a later date.

The postponement was due to “logistics problem with the the movie premium (items) delivery”. The movie was supposed to be shown on Saturday, April 22. Below is the full announcement that was posted in Facebook:

TO OUR VALUED PHILIPPINES SAO FANS:

Due to logistical difficulties, Sword Art Online The Movie Fan’s Screening on 22 April 2017 at SM Megamall will be postponed and re-scheduled to 29 Apr 2017.

Sword Art Online: The Movie premium items may be claimed on 29 Apr 2017 at SM Cinema Megamall.  

We sincerely apologise for this unexpected outcome and for the disappointment caused to Philippines fans.

The movie is re-scheduled for screening to April 29, 2017.

Philippine screening for “Kancolle The Movie” postponed

Aniplus Asia announced last Tuesday that the screening of Kancolle the Movie on April 22 is moved to a later date.

The movie is rescheduled to May 6, 2017. Aniplus Asia has not gave details on the reason of the postponement.

“Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry” movie to be released in the Philippines

Southeast Asian film distributor Odex Private Limited has announced on Tuesday (April 18) that it will release Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry anime movie in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. There are no details yet for the playdate.

Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry is the second film based on the manga and anime series of the same name, by Hiro Mashima. It has an original story based on 193 storyboard pages that Mashima, drew for the film.

Synopsis from Madman

The Dragon Cry is a magic artifact with enough power to destroy the world. Enshrined within a temple in the Kingdom of Fiore, the Dragon Cry is stolen by Zash, a traitor in Fiore, and delivered to Animus, the ruler of the Kingdom of Stella.

The task of recapturing the Dragon Cry falls to Natsu and the Wizards of the Fairy Tail Guild. During their mission to track down Zash, they infiltrate the Kingdom of Stella, and it is here they meet Animus’ magician Sonya…

“Sword Art Online Movie” gets Fan Screening on April 22

Odex Private Limited has announced on Sunday that they will be holding a special Fan Screening for Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale this weekend at SM Megamall.

The screening is a one-time event to be held on April 22, 5PM at SM Megamall Cinema 11.

Movie attendees who purchase tickets for the Fan Screening will receive premium items from Japan. Item includes seven Japan cinema movie release premiums, 7 Signature Cards and one paper bag.

Ticket are worth Php1,800 and already available via smcinema.com.

There will be also a Fan Screening happening simultaneously in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Odex Private Limited has previously released the movie in selected theater in the Philippines last February.

 

“Norn9” airing date on TV5 announced

TV5 has officially announced the airing date of romance anime “Norn9” on the channel.

“Norn9” is set to air on April 20 at 5:15AM. The series will be released in Filipino-dubbed.

Release of “Koe No Katachi” cancelled due to theater unavailability

(Updated 4/11/2017 1434H) Philippine distributor Pioneer Films has announced on Tuesday (April 11) that the release of anime film “Koe no Katachi” (A Silent Voice) has been cancelled due to unavailability of theaters.

According to Pioneer Films, the movie has been rescheduled to an unconfirmed date.

Stay tuned for further announcement.

The movie was initially scheduled on the 15th of April on local cinemas.

“Kuroko no Basket movie: Last Game” to screen in the Philippines

Odex Private Limited has announced last Saturday, April 8, 2017, that they will be screening “Kuroko No Basket movie: Last Game” in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

An American street basketball team called Jabberwock comes to Japan and plays a friendly match with a Japanese team, but after the Japanese team suffers a crushing defeat, the team members of Jabberwock start mocking Japanese basketball. Their comments enrage Riko’s father, and so he gathers a team made up of the five members of the Generation of Miracles plus Kuroko and Kagami, called Vorpal Swords, to have a revenge match against Jabberwock.

The movie premiered last March 18 in Japan.
