“Death Note: Light Up The New World” in Philippine cinemas on March 15

The new Death Note live-action movie “Light Up The New World” is set to premiere in Philippine cinemas next month.

The film will be released on March 15, 2017 by Pioneer Films .

The story takes places after ten years after the last battle between L and Light. Shinigami sends death notes to the ground and the human world once again falls into chaos.

Tsukuru Mishima, following the footsteps of the late Soichiro Yagami, now leads a new Death Note Task Force to investigate the mass murders along with world famous private investigator Ryusaki, who is regarded as the true successor of L. They discover that there are six Death notes exist the world.

As the investigation continues, a computer virus called “Kira virus” spreads across the world. A message in the virus says to turn in all death notes.  A person who has all 6 death notes would have the ability to rule the world.

The battle between the person who want Kira’s revival and the people who to stop it begins.

The film is based on the best-selling supernatural action manga series of the same name written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata.

“Death Note: Light Up The New World” is the fourth film in the Death Note live-action film series and it premiered on October 29, 2016 in Japan.

Pioneer Film teased the movie trailer last year.

Love Live! Sunshine!!’s Aqours Concert to be screened at SM Megamall this February

The official Facebook page for SM Cinema has announced last Monday that it will be hosting the live broadcast of the “Aqours First Love Live! ~Step! ZERO to ONE~” concert this coming weekend.

The concert will be screened at SM Megamall Cinema 3 on February 25 at 4:30 PM. Gates will open at 4:00PM. Tickets are priced at Php 1,000 each and will soon be available at bit.ly/LoveLiveAtSMCinema. SM Cinema has yet to announce the details for the second day live-viewing.

The official website for the Love Live! anime had announced earlier that the concert will have live-viewing in Australia, Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong, The US and some Southeast Asian countries including the Philippines.

“Aqours First Love Live! ~Step! ZERO to ONE~” is the first major concert for the Love Live! Sunshine!! idol group Aqours that will happen on February 25 and 26 at the Yokohama Arena, Japan.

 

Legendary singers Mitsuko Horie and Takayuki Miyauchi coming to Ozine Fest 2017

Otakuzine Anime Magazine has revealed that this year’s Ozine Fest will feature legendary singers Mitsuko Horie and Takayuki Miyauchi.

The announcement was made by the host during Otaku Expo 2017 last February 5, 2017.

The two singer will be performing live on April 8 at Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

Takayuki Miyauchi is one of the well-known vocalist of Tokusatsu dramas notable for his top singles: Choudenshi Bioman, Uchuu Keiji Shaider and Kamen Rider Black RX while Mitsuko Horie is the voice behind the hit theme songs of Voltes V, Sailormoon and Doraemon.

Ozine Fest 2017 will happen on April 7, 8 and 9 at SM Megamall Megatrade Halls and it is organized by Otakuzine Anime Magazine in cooperation with TokuSpirits.

 

‘Sword Art Online’ The Movie Philippine Premiere detailed

Aside from the premiere date, more details have been released on the Philippine premiere of one of the much awaited anime film adaptation this year, ‘Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale.’

According to SM Cinema, the anime film’s one-time screening  is set on February 18 (Saturday), 5PM at SM Cinema Megamall Cinema 2.

There will be two ticket prices depending on the items the movie goer will get.

The Premiere section, which is worth Php500 consists of a Sword Art Online paperbag, cup, a poster and Signature cards of Kirito and Asuna.

The Deluxe section, which is worth Php350, consists of again a SAO paperbag, folder, a poster and author’s signature card.

Premiere section tickets are already available online at smcinema.com while Deluxe section tickets can be bought at SM Cinema Megamall ticket branch or by calling their hotline (02) 633-1901 for reservations.

The film is rated PG (Parental Guidance) by the Philippines’ Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.

Based on the light novel series written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec, the film will feature an original story by Kawahara and it will take place after the Mother’s Rosario arc. The voice cast from the anime series will reprise their roles in the film.
